How booking a model works
The questions clients ask us first, answered properly rather than briefly.
How do I book a model?
Four steps, and nobody is booked until the last one.
- Note the models you are interested in and send one enquiry naming all of them.
- We reply with who is actually available on your date, and a written quote.
- You confirm the model and the quote.
- We send a contract covering the date, the hours, the fee, the usage rights and the cancellation terms. Once both sides have signed it, the model is booked.
You can also send an enquiry without choosing anyone — tell us what the shoot is and we will suggest people.
What should I put in my enquiry?
The more of this you can tell us, the more useful our first reply is:
- What the shoot is — product photography, campaign, runway, event.
- When and where — the date, or the week, and the city.
- How long — a half day, a full day, three days.
- How many models and roughly what you are looking for.
- Where the images will be used — website only, print, outdoor, social, and in which countries.
- How long you need those rights for — six months, a year, perpetual.
- Your budget, even as a range.
Usage rights are the part clients leave out most often, and they affect the fee more than the number of hours does.
How quickly do you reply?
We aim to reply to every enquiry within one working day, and usually faster during office hours. If your shoot is tomorrow, send it on WhatsApp instead — that reaches a person rather than an inbox.
A reply always comes from a named person at the agency, never an automated quote.
What is in a model contract?
Every booking has a written contract before anyone turns up. It covers:
- the model, the date and the call time;
- the location and who is providing it;
- the number of hours, and what overtime costs;
- the fee, the agency fee, and when payment is due;
- usage rights — exactly where the images may be used, in what media, in which territories, and for how long;
- exclusivity, if the brand needs it;
- cancellation terms on both sides;
- what the model has and has not agreed to do on the shoot;
- who is responsible for safety, insurance and permits on the day.
If something is not in the contract, it has not been agreed. That protects you as much as it protects the model.
Do you publish your rates?
Each profile shows an indicative hourly rate so you can judge whether a model is in your range. It is a guide, not a quote.
The real fee depends on the hours, the location, travel, how many looks or shots you need, and above all the usage rights. A half-day shoot with website-only rights and a half-day shoot with two-year outdoor rights are very different numbers for the same model on the same day. Every enquiry gets a written quote.
Is the availability on a profile live?
No, and we would rather say so. Availability on a profile describes roughly how open a model’s schedule is — available, limited dates, fully booked, or on request. It is not a diary. A model shown as available may have been booked an hour ago.
We confirm real availability for your specific date when you enquire.
Can I contact a model directly?
No. All bookings and all communication go through the agency, and we never publish a model’s personal phone number or email address. That is there to protect the model, and it also protects you: a booking arranged privately has no contract, no agreed usage rights and nobody to call if something goes wrong on the day.
Are the comp card details accurate?
They are what the model has given us and we check them when a model joins. People change — height does not, but measurements and hair colour certainly do. Use the comp card as a guide, and rely on the details we confirm in writing when you book.
Do you work outside your listed cities?
Yes. The cities listed are where our models are based, not the only places they work. Many will travel anywhere in India, and some hold the documents to work internationally — that is shown on each profile. Travel, accommodation and a per-day travel allowance are quoted separately.
What if the shoot overruns?
Overtime is in the contract, at an agreed hourly rate, and we would much rather agree it in advance than argue about it afterwards. If you think a shoot may run long, tell us when you enquire and we will build it into the quote.
Can I see more photographs than are on the profile?
Yes. The profile shows a selection. Ask and we will send a full portfolio and recent digitals — unretouched photographs taken in the last few weeks, which are what you actually want to see before booking.
How do I become a model with Pink Models?
Use the Represent me page. You will need to be 18 or over, and to send a link to some photographs — they do not need to be professional. Plain, well-lit photographs against a blank wall tell us more than a heavily edited portfolio does.
We reply to every application, including the ones we are not taking further.
Tell us about your shoot
Send one enquiry with the models you are interested in. You will get real availability and a written quote, from a person, not a form.
- No obligation, and no cost to enquire
- A quote that includes the usage rights
- Nobody booked until a contract is signed
Booking enquiries are for professional shoots, campaigns and events only.
